“The History of Quakers: A Religious Revolution” is a permanent exhibition at Arch Street Meeting House in Old City, Philadelphia that explores how 17th-century spiritual radicals transformed into leaders of equality, peace, and social change.
Ten Eleven joined the team to develop a visual direction for the exhibition. Through conceptual design of panels and interactives, creation of a custom typeface, illustration, and production, the design solution culminated in a contemporary visual interpretation of a rich history. Thoughtful choices in display, materials, and fabrication complement the architectural elements of the historic site while remaining true to the spiritual principles that have long guided Quakers.

Since 1917, the American Friends Service Committee has been a successful Quaker experiment in nurturing the seeds of change and respect for human life that transform social relations and systems. In their 100th anniversary, they identified a key opportunity to share powerful lessons from their history.
Ten Eleven Design partnered with their team in developing a traveling exhibition demonstrating the effectiveness of nonviolence to build justice, overcome oppression, and prevent violence. Exhibition highlights included development of a life-size immigration board game, a tabletop US budget game, and impactful large-scale graphics juxtaposing images from the past and present. Ten Eleven Design also developed multiple education guides and marketing pieces to promote the exhibition.

In 1935, George and Eleanor Butler donated the majority of the land for Glen Providence Park in Media, Pennsylvania as a Bird Sanctuary and Arboretum. The park was carefully planned under the leadership of Samuel L. Smedley, and its trails were laid to have minimum impact on the natural environment, while allowing visitors to experience and enjoy the plants and wildlife.
The Friends of Glen Providence Park, an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 nonprofit organization working to preserve and enhance the natural and historic resource of Delaware County, Pennsylvania’s oldest park, commissioned Ten Eleven to create a logo to legitimize their preservation efforts and help build awareness of their initiatives. A flexible branding system was created for use across various educational and marketing materials. To reflect the natural rhythms of the park, delightful logo illustrations change with the seasons…the winter logo features winterberry, the spring logo features trillium, and so on.
